Storm Queen is made for when life needs to move. It's traditionally used for breaking stagnation, rapid change, courage, honoring the ancestors and clearing out what's been sitting too long.
Oya (Ọya) is an Orisha of the Yoruba people, still honored today in living traditions across West Africa and the diaspora, including Ifá, Lukumí and Candomblé. This oil is inspired by her symbols and made with respect for those traditions; it does not claim to represent her. She is the Orisha of winds, storms and lightning, and the Niger River bears her name in Yoruba as Odò Ọya. She is closely tied to the ancestors and the Egungun masquerade, and in Brazil she is honored as Iansã, a name often explained as "mother of nine."

Change and clearing. Dress a candle to break stagnation, open a window while it burns and let the air move through the room.
Courage. After a patch test, touch a drop to your wrists before a big leap, a hard decision or a new chapter. Keep it away from your face.
Ancestor work. Dress a white candle for your own beloved dead and set it beside their photos or names.
Devotional use. If you honor Oya within Ifá, Lukumí or Candomblé, follow the guidance of your elders or godparents.
Bath. Blend a few drops into a carrier oil or a cup of salt first. Never add it straight to the water.

It opens with bright citrus and a cool green rush, like wind before rain. It softens into velvety florals with a thread of warm spice. It settles into earthy depth and deep woods, like wet ground after the storm has passed.
