Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how House of Cleo Devine ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information. It applies when you visit houseofcleodevine.com, buy a product, request a private working, or contact us.

Much of what people share with us is personal: their relationships, their conflicts, what they want, and sometimes information about other people. We treat it that way. Only Cleo reads private working requests, and we never publish, sell or share the details of your situation.

This policy is intended to comply with applicable United States federal and state privacy laws, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and other applicable data protection laws. If this policy and our Terms of Service conflict about personal information, this policy controls.

5. How We Handle Private Working Information

Because this information is sensitive, we hold it to a stricter standard.

  • Only Cleo reads it. Your request, photos and situation details are never shared with staff, contractors or anyone else. The only exceptions are when you ask us to share them, or when the law requires it.

  • We only use it for your working. It is never used for marketing, published, turned into testimonials, or used as an example. If we ever want to quote your feedback, we'll ask first and leave out anything identifying.

  • We keep it only as long as needed. Photos and personal details sent for a working are deleted within 14 days after your session is completed, unless you ask us to keep them for follow-up work. Physical petitions and ritual materials are disposed of as part of the working, according to its tradition.

  • Information about other people. When you send names, birth dates or photos of someone else, you confirm that you obtained them lawfully and have the right to share them for this purpose. We use them only to perform your working.

  • Your consent. By submitting a working request, you explicitly consent to our processing the sensitive information in it, for the sole purpose of performing that working. You may withdraw your consent before the working begins. See our Refund Policy for the cancellation window.

6. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA and UK)

If you're in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases:

  • Contract: to fill orders and perform the services you buy.

  • Explicit consent: for sensitive information shared in private working requests, and for marketing emails.

  • Legal obligation: for tax, accounting and legal compliance.

  • Legitimate interests: for fraud prevention, Site security and improving our shop, where those interests don't override your rights.

7. Who We Share Information With

We share only what's needed, and only with:

  • Our store platform: Squarespace. It hosts the Site and processes orders.

  • Payment processors included on our site.

  • Shipping carriers: USPS and FedEx. They receive your name and shipping address.

  • Email and communication providers: Google (Gmail), for correspondence and email marketing for newsletters.

  • Analytics and advertising providers: Google Analytics.

  • Legal authorities: when required by law, or to protect our rights.

We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Our service providers handle personal information under their own privacy policies and applicable law.

8. Our Store Platform

The Site is hosted by Squarespace. The platform collects and processes personal information to run our store, and it may process your information outside your country, including in the United States and Canada. Please see Squarespace's privacy policy for details.

If you buy from us on Etsy, Etsy's privacy policy also applies to information collected through Etsy.

  • Order and payment records: as long as tax and accounting laws require, usually 7 years.

  • Customer support messages: 2 years, or until you ask us to delete them, where the law allows.

  • Marketing list information: until you unsubscribe.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Correct inaccurate information.

  • Delete your information.

  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

  • Withdraw consent at any time. This doesn't affect processing already done.

  • Opt out of marketing emails.

  • If you're in a U.S. state with a consumer privacy law: opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, or of targeted advertising, and not be treated differently for exercising your rights.

To make a request, email houseofcleodevine@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity first. We'll respond within the time the law requires.

If you're in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
