Pomegranate Queen is made for the times you go down into the dark and come back changed. It's traditionally used for transformation, seasonal transitions, balancing shadow and light, reclaiming your choices and grief work.
In the Homeric Hymn to Demeter, Hades carries Persephone to the underworld, and because she tastes a pomegranate seed there, she must return below for part of every year. Ovid retells the story in his Metamorphoses, where she spends half the year with her mother and half with her husband. Even in Homer's Odyssey, she is already the dread queen of the dead. Many modern practitioners read her story as one of sovereignty: the maiden who became a queen in her own right.

Dress a candle. Anoint a candle for the transition you're in, from the middle toward you for what you're claiming or away from you for what you're leaving behind.
Shadow and light. Dress one black and one white candle and burn them side by side, for holding both sides of yourself with honesty.
Grief work. Dress a petition naming who or what you've lost, and keep it on your altar through the season.
Anoint yourself. After a patch test, touch a drop to your wrists or heart as you begin something new after a hard season.
Bath. Blend a few drops into a carrier oil or a cup of salt first. Never add it straight to the water.
