Ocean Mother is made for the heart that needs holding. It's traditionally used for emotional healing, motherhood, cleansing, protecting your family and deepening intuition.
Yemaya (Yemọja) is an Orisha of the Yoruba people, still honored today in living traditions across West Africa and the diaspora, including Ifá, Lukumí and Candomblé. This oil is inspired by her symbols and made with respect for those traditions; it does not claim to represent her. In Nigeria she is linked with the Ogun River, and in the Americas she became the great mother of the sea. Her name is often explained as "mother whose children are fish." In Brazil, thousands bring flowers and offerings to the sea for her each year, and in Cuba she is linked with Our Lady of Regla, patroness of Havana's harbor.

Emotional healing. Dress a blue or white candle and let it burn while you write out what you're carrying and ready to set down.
Family protection. Anoint the corners of a family photo, not the children themselves, and keep it on your altar or near your front door.
Cleansing. After a patch test, touch a drop to your wrists or heart after a hard day, or add a few drops to a bowl of water with a pinch of salt to cleanse your altar.
Devotional use. If you honor Yemaya within Ifá, Lukumí or Candomblé, follow the guidance of your elders or godparents.
Bath. Blend a few drops into a cup of sea salt or a carrier oil first. Never add it straight to the water.

It opens with clean sea air and bright citrus, cool and wide open. It softens into velvety florals, gentle and luminous. It settles into skin-soft musk and deep woods, like driftwood warm on the shore.

CARE & SAFETY
Store it cool and dark with the cap tight, and use it within about a year for the best scent. This is a warming oil, so patch test on your inner arm 24 hours before use on skin, avoid mucous membranes and discontinue if irritation occurs. If you have ragweed-family allergies, avoid skin contact. It's not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. For external use only. Keep away from children and pets.
