Lilith Unbound is made for sovereignty work: reclaiming your voice, your body and your desire on your own terms. It's traditionally used in shadow work, dark moon devotion and rituals of sexual empowerment, and for any working where you stop apologizing for the parts of yourself you were told to hide.
Lilith's roots run back to the lilītu night spirits of Mesopotamia and a single line in Isaiah 34:14, where the Hebrew lilith was rendered "screech owl" in the King James Bible. The story most people know comes from the medieval Alphabet of Ben Sira. There she is Adam's first wife, made from the same earth as he was, who refuses to lie beneath him, speaks the Divine Name and flies away to the Red Sea rather than submit. In Jewish folklore she was long feared as a demon, and protective amulets were made against her. Modern practitioners, beginning with feminist writers like Judith Plaskow in the 1970s, have reclaimed her as a figure of refusal and self-possession. This oil is made in that modern spirit.

Dress a candle. Work a few drops into a black or red candle, from the middle toward you to draw your power back in. Burn it on the dark moon while you speak what you're reclaiming.
Anoint yourself. After a patch test, touch a drop to your wrists, throat or heart before ritual, shadow work or any moment you need to stand in your full height.
Petitions. Write your declaration of sovereignty, dress the four corners of the paper and fold it toward you.
Mojo bags and altars. Feed a sovereignty bag weekly, or anoint a Lilith image, owl or serpent figure as an offering.
Bath. Add a few drops to a carrier oil or a cup of salt before it goes in the water. Never add it straight to the bath.

It opens with ripe fruit and a flash of warm spice, bright and a little dangerous. It softens into velvety florals, heady and full. It settles into earthy depth, dark resin and a low soft sweetness that stays close to the skin.

CARE & SAFETY
Store it cool and dark with the cap tight, and use it within about a year for the best scent. If you have ragweed-family allergies, avoid skin contact. It's not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. For external use only. Keep away from children and pets.
