For the seasons when the work is not to escape the dark, but to learn how to stand inside it. Queen of the Great Below is made for grief rituals, honoring loss and pain, underworld work, shadow work, grounding, endings, and finding your roots when life has stripped something away.
-
Dress candles for grief, remembrance, grounding, release, or shadow work; anoint petitions and ritual objects; or use it in altar work honoring Ereshkigal. Apply to pulse points only after a patch test, or dilute appropriately for a ritual bath.
-
Dark, grounded, and quiet, with earthy depth, deep woods, and dark resin. Heavy enough for underworld work without becoming harsh.
-
A hand-blended ritual oil prepared with botanicals and ritual elements chosen to reflect the stillness, gravity, and underworld character of the work.
-
1mL, ½ oz, or 1 oz amber dropper bottle, suited to ongoing work. Each bottle holds dried botanicals and oils. Every bottle is handmade in small batches, so color, inclusions may differ slightly from the photo.
-
Realm: the Great Below. Colors: black, deep red, and earth brown. Symbols: gates, thresholds, darkness, and the underworld throne. Themes: grief, loss, descent, endings, boundaries, shadow, sovereignty, and the wisdom found beneath the surface.
PAIRS WELL WITH
Descent of Inanna Ritual Oil for descent-and-return work, or Ancestors Light Ritual Oil when grief work includes remembrance and honoring the dead.
CARE & SAFETY
Store it cool and dark with the cap tight, and use it within about a year for the best scent. This is a warming oil, so patch test on your inner arm 24 hours before use on skin, avoid mucous membranes and discontinue if irritation occurs. If you have ragweed-family allergies, avoid skin contact. It's not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. For external use only. Keep away from children and pets.
